Why a Multipoint Inspection is Important

The Multipoint Inspection Process

Step 1

First, a technician will check under the hood. This will include examining the motor oil and filter, coolant, brake fluid, brake lines, power steering fluid, cabin air filter, drive belts, hoses, battery, windshield washer fluid, and more.

Step 2

Step 4

Once the technician has thoroughly examined all parts of the vehicle and documented each component, they will explain the components and what might need to be repaired or replaced. Most inspections will even rate each component on a color or number scale to let you know how urgent a repair or replacement is.
