Alfa Romeo Tonale vs Alfa Romeo Brennero | Greer, SC

Electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming more and more popular around the world. Most every automaker already makes some sort of hybrid or all-electric vehicle, or has announced plans to begin production soon. Alfa Romeo, an Italian luxury vehicle company that makes truly outstanding vehicles, is no different. The company revealed the Alfa Romeo Tonale concept vehicle in 2019, and it now is slated to reach showrooms, like ours here in Greer, SC, in early 2023! The Tonale is a small luxury SUV that will combine performance and style.

There are also rumors swirling of another new EV from Alfa Romeo, the Brennero. This vehicle is going to be smaller than the Tonale, allowing drivers who like maneurverable sedans to enjoy the more spacious interior of an SUV without giving up performance. This post is going to take a look at the Tonale and Brennero rumors to help Spartansburg drivers figure out what to expect from the forthcoming Alfa Romeo lineup!

The Alfa Romeo Tonale

The 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale will be available in three different trims with two different powertrains. The standard option is not an EV, but rather a traditional car with ultra-low emisions. A turbocharged 2.0L inline-four engine will power this version of the Tonale, which will make 256 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. Those are stunning numbers for the small SUV market segment! This powertrain includes all-wheel drive, as does every other version of the Tonale.

The hybrid powertrain option pairs a turbocharged 1.3L four-cylinder engine with a rear-mounted electric motor; they combine for 272 horsepower. The 15.5 kWh battery should provide up to 30 miles of driving without using any gasoline; Greenville drivers will be able to run errands all over town without using a drop of gasoline in a hybrid Tonale! They'll also look great doing it: the Tonale features Alfa Romeo's renowned and distinctive style that will make you the envy of other drivers.

Alfa Romeo places a premium on safety. The Alfa Romeo Tonale will feature automated emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist on every vehicle. For those Spartansburg drivers who need even more safety, there is an available 360-degree camera that can help you pull into and out of parking spots, no matter how tight!

The Alfa Romeo Brennero

We do not know as much about the Brennero as we do about the Tonale. Essentially, we have learned that the vehicle will produced at a brand-new factory in Poland that will specialize in making EVs, and that the Brennero is slated to be smaller than the Tonale. One concept artist sketched out what the Brennero might look like, basing the design on the Peugeot 2008, but this is just speculation. The brand-new Alfa Romeo Tonale looks like a great new vehicle, however, so we are quite excited to see what Alfa Romeo has in store for us with the Brennero! We will update Greer drivers with more details as soon as we get them.

Conclusion: Alfa Romeo Tonale and Brennero

Due to the lack of available information about the Brennero it's difficult to say much about the similarities and differences between the two vehicles. The Brennero, however, is certain to be possessed of the dashing sense of style that all Alfa Romeo vehicles, like the Guilia and the Stelvio have in spades.
