An Overview: 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia vs. 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia

The 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia welcomes new upgrades, including updates to the instrument panels in the form of a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. While that is not all for the interior by any means, the 2024 Giulia also sees upgrades to the exterior. The facelift includes new headlights and taillights to upgrade the front and rear views of the car. Under the hood, you can still expect to find choices between the turbocharged inline-4 or a twin-turbo V6 engine, as well as between rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD).

Available Trims in the Giulia

In 2023, the Giulia offered six different trim levels: Sprint, TI, Lusso, Veloce, Estrema, and Quadrifoglio. The 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia keeps the Sprint, Ti, Veloce, and Quadrifoglio trims and has ultimately eliminated the Lusso and Estrema trims. This year, however, they have also added a new trim level: the Competizione.  The Giulia Quadrifoglio remains the top-level trim.

The Competizione is heavily inspired by Alfa Romeo's racing heritage. It boasts available upgrades such as a limited-slip differential and adaptive suspension. You can expect impeccable driving dynamics and a lively acceleration on this model.

Something Special for 2024: Alfa Romeo's 100th Anniversary

To celebrate its centennial, the Italian automaker has put out a special 100th-anniversary model of the Giulia Quadrifoglio. The special model is a limited edition that is specially designed, featuring unique badging, gold trim, gold stitching on the leather dashboard, and more. There is even an embroidered "100" next to the golden Quadrifoglio logo. Not only is this edition specially designed and crafted, but there are also limited quantities of the special edition models.

Pricing in 2023 vs 2024

The 2024 Giulia starts at $44,075 and goes up from there, depending on the trim level and selected available features. The base MSRP of the 2024 Giulia is lower than that of the 2023 model, which starts at $45,545. With upgraded features and a lower price, there is a lot to be excited about.

Engine, Performance, and Fuel Efficiency

The sporty engine of the 2023 Giulia returns for 2024, an impressively powerful turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine that is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission for an incredible driving experience. The engine generates 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque. The Giulia Quadrifoglio also returns with the twin-turbocharged 2.9L V6 from previous years, generating 505 horsepower.

All Giulias come with a drive mode selector featuring three different drive settings that adjust the sedan's transmission, engine power, and steering feel to customize the driver's experience on the road.

When it comes to fuel efficiency, the EPA has rated the Giulia at 24 mpg city and 33 mpg highway for the RWD Giulias. AWD models, comparatively, are rated at 23 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. These numbers rank just shy of class-leading and are impressive for a sports sedan.

Design & Comfort in the All-New 2024 Giulia

Both the interior and exterior of the 2024 sedan have seen updates from 2023, including newly designed headlights and taillights to update the exterior and a new 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster to display all of the vehicle information you need while you drive. The digital gauge cluster comes equipped with three different configurations for personalized styling - Evolved, Relaxed, and Heritage.

The interior offers plenty of comfort and luxury, with fine leather detailing, genuine wood or textured metal trimmings, and soft-touch plastics. The dashboard is extra versatile, doubling as a visor for the infotainment screen so that your view isn't affected by a glare.

The interior of the sedan is luxurious and elegantly styled, prioritizing comfort and driver experience. While there are optional sports seats, the standard front and rear seats are comfortable, with plenty of front shoulder room and rear legroom.

Infotainment

The Giulia comes standard with an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is customizable to a driver's unique preferences. The infotainment system offers a variety of standard features, including three USB ports, an auxiliary input jack, in-dash navigation, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and more.

If you want to upgrade your sound experience in the cabin, an available 14-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system is available as an upgrade to make your music more immersive and your listening experience more enjoyable.

Alfa Romeo's Top Safety Features

The Giulia comes with a variety of safety features, including many of the same driver-assistance technology that can be found in the 2023 Giulia. Automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring all come as standard driver-assistance features. Semi-autonomous driving technology comes as an available upgrade.
